What is your purpose in life?

Swadharma — a concept many people worry about, through many different names.

To determine Swadharma, one’s own duty, it is helpful to consider other perspectives on finding meaning. One way is through science — psychologist Viktor Frankl, Holocaust survivor and author of Man’s Search for Meaning, encapsulated the natural quest to define Swadharma as a will to meaning. Another great way to define Swadharma is to look at self-help articles on “finding your purpose in life,” also referred to as a calling, or a mission, or sometimes even a passion.

It is hard to understand exactly what Swadharma is from the nebulous quotes of spiritual leaders and our natural distrust of our own opinions, so approaching the question from the secular idea of finding one’s purpose in life is a great way to begin.
